Whether you come to us with a full set of working plans or are starting from scratch - we can build it! We create additions, room renovations, full new builds, and everything in between. Our project costs for new builds are dependent on a variety of factors from the lot you build on to the finishes you choose. We can help you dial in an estimate once we know more about your project.

 

Design

Plan Design

We will meet you wherever you are at in your plan design stage! By the end of our design phase process, we will have created a fully custom set of working plans that are ready to submit for permits.

Interior Design

If you are looking for support in the interior design of your home, one of our designers will work with you and our network of partners to select finishes that embody your style. From your flooring and paint colors, to your hardware and lighting, we will work to make sure your home reflects you. This service is included in your overall build costs.

The Process

+ BUDGET

Your budget will be a central factor throughout the entire process, and it is important to establish it early on. In our first few meetings, we will help you prioritize your desires for your home to fit within your budget. You will be given allowances for your finish selections including flooring, plumbing fixtures, lighting and so on.

+ PLAN DESIGN

We start in the Design Phase where we dial in the plan design to your liking. This will include meeting with us (in person or through video call) to talk through your inspiration and any specifications that you are looking for. We will then collaborate with our draftsman to come up with the first draft of your plans. After several rounds of edits and feedback, we will have a working set of plans ready to submit for permits! This process can take anywhere from six weeks to six months depending on the complexity of the plans.

+ FINANCING

Most of our clients work with a bank to secure a construction loan. The construction loan will also pay for your lot. We believe this is the most cost effective and efficient way to finance your build. We are approved builders through several institutions.

+ INTERIOR DESIGN

Once your plans are ready and financing is secured, we are ready to start bringing your home to life! You will be given a list of selections needed for your home and have full creative freedom to choose your finishes. If you would like us to partner with you in this exciting (and sometimes overwhelming!) process, our design team will work with you to help select and purchase your finishes through our network of partners.

+ BUILD

This is the time to sit back and watch your dream become a reality! We typically begin construction as soon as we receive the permits to do so. On average, it takes us about seven months to complete a full new build, but that timeline is very dependent on the specific circumstances of the build. We will remain in full communication with you throughout the build and will even provide weekly project reports.

+ WARRANTY

At Fridley Custom Homes, we have an unwavering commitment to customer satisfaction; we want you to be delighted with your custom home from the day you move in and for many years to come. At completion phase, you will be provided with a one-year Builder Warranty on workmanship and materials. We will be readily available to answer and address any questions that may arise as you enjoy your beautiful, quality, custom home.
